Isolation Day 2 of ..

So it’s 9.30am – it’s a beautiful day outside, not a cloud in the sky, and the trees are swaying in the breeze.  Saw a bird perched in a branch – that was exciting – not the bird particularly as it looked like a crow but the fact that there was one. In a few weeks time these grounds are going to be bursting with bulbs and colour – a complete contrast to now… might even be an iris or two amonsgt them.

OK – blood pressure and temperature done, bloods taken, and all flushed through almost before I’d opened an eyelid by 6.30am.  They sneak in quietly these nurses and catch you unawares.

Dr F visited later –  “Sleep well?” “How’s your bowels?” “Any problems you let us know?” – to give me my daily blood counts and they’re all heading in the right downward direction.  A day or twos time and we should hit rock bottom that’s when our teams’ bright and bubbly spirits might dip a little – but they’ll still be inside us gunning to come out and play again!

I was hoping for a slightly more feminie attire to wear over the next few days but it appears that isolation squabs come in but one design – and possible size – and I feel like a branded bull with ‘50’ stamped across my buttock. So here it is in all it’s glory…

Definitely practical; afterall these do have to be laundered on a daily basis, and are made of a hard wearing cotton, and not too bad a colour – so those are the positives. But don’t you feel it could do with a little more detail around the neck, possibly a dart or two to excentuate my figure, perhaps a little bright sash to at least look as if I have an important belt in judo? Let’s see what I can do with the very limited supplies that have been left us …

Well obviously not a lot – where’s Gok and his ideas to snazzy something up with a curled ribbon and a button or two when you need him (not that I have either of them!)

And no they don’t come in one-size-fits-all cos unless I have lost a considerable amount of my bulk overnight this outfit is even larger than yesterdays.

And whilst we’re talking about bulk – here’s a pictorial of all that has been consumed by yours truly today … apart from the last dinner dish – that was just one bowl too many!

Stu’s been out and about wandering the local Izmanolov Markets and buying up tasteful Russian giftets – and checking they don’t have ‘Made in China” stamped on the bottom!!

That’s an impressive number of pills you have there 🙂 Good to hear your counts are doing as they should – keep up the good work.

Now what a pity you didn’t have a black scarf with you. Shall I send mine over? Was the last pic at the market or just Stu’s purchases???

The belt has gone back into quarantine – a disallowed frippery! Stu claimed he didn’t buy the whole lot but it’s cheaper in bulk (won’t be once we’ve paid the excess baggage though!).

What…is the yellow stuff on the plate, next to the blue pill?!? Is it to eat or rub on your feet! x

Anastasia did say that once we’d swabbed ourselves with the delightful fish smelling vodka and were ultra clean we could then slap what we liked on afterwards, but I’d rather eat that creamy mashed pots! Nice too x
