Treatment Stage 5 : Isolation

Friday 10th April

OK – bring it on. The whole team is waiting on lock down!

Anastastia gave us our instructions this morning – inner room will be sanitized while we sit in the loo out the way – fine by me!  Bedding will be changed on a daily basis. Clean clothes on a daily basis.  Pretty little floral squabs will be issued daily – we’ll see!  No long luxurious showers we now swab ourselves down with vodka (I’m not sure it is vodka but that’s what they say and I’d hate to disillusion anyone – and alcohol is an excellent cleaner).  There’s bottles for the ‘body’ and bottles for the ‘privates’.  Steve’s already been stung!

Pink mouthwash has been delivered.  The sterilising unit for crockery and cutlery is filled and all food is to be microwaved before consumption – What? Surely not the yoghurts?  The infa-red light needs to be switched on for 20 mins after using the bathroom but don’t go in there when it’s on or it will fry you alive – what are they trying to do to us?  But all in the interests of keeping us as well as can be while we hit rock bottom and climb back up again.

So I’ve run my antiseptic multi-surface wipes around every surface I’m likely to come across, have bottles of antibacterial hand gel scattered about and am feeling pretty confident that nothing’s going to get through my barriers so we’re all systems go …. just waiting, waiting, waiting.

Here’s the sheet I will keep close at hand incase of any problems. You ring the buzzer – a nurse rushes to your aid, you point at what’s wrong, give it a number, and seconds later the problem has gone away with a nice little infusion of medicine or tablet under the tongue.

I was the lucky last of the team to be incarcerated into my Prison Cell room 328 – to be honest it’s not a lot different – it just means the inner door has to be kept shut and Stu is banned to the outer sancturm – makes having a casual conversation through a thick glass panel a little harder though …

photo-2 I hope you do realise that Stu does have a clean set of clothes on underneath every time he visits xxx

And so here we linger for as long as it takes and whichever of the team gets out first buys the pizza!!
